It snowed all day yesterday at my house!!! I so wanted to come to school late today!!!

So we will be busy these 14 days!

I am not at school today....but I did want to wish you a very safe and happy Thanksgiving.

My family will be coming to my house...we will have a total of 15 this year!!! So guess what I am doing today? That's right...getting ready for the family!

First Day Survival

I hope everyone had a great first day of school. I was really tired by the end of 7th period. Did you get all your paper work home to your parents? I am sure your parents are exhausted from filling out all that paper work for you. Don't forget to bring the two forms back, signed by your parents as well as have them send me an email or fill out the back of the little sheet with their contact information.

Hope you got a good night's rest...we have lots to do this week.

Welcome Back to School

It is a new school year! Welcome to my Computer Technology class. We will be using this blog almost daily once we get started!

Mobile IVC Lab

In our room is a Mobile IVC Lab. That means we have a camera, a microphone and a projector. On Tuesday, we will hear a retired Police Detective talk about Internet Safety. Throughout the day, computer services will test the equipment. You need to be on your very best behavior. Please be very careful what you say. Also, the content of the Detective's presentation is very mature. Please do not laugh about things that make us uncomfortable to hear. When the camera is on, the Detective and the people at the Career Tech school will be able to see us. You may have an opportunity to ask questions. Please make Meridianville look good!!!

Remember this is a learning experience for me, too. I have not used the Mobile IVC Lab before. So I will be learning how to do this, too. Please show respect for each other and for me during this experience. Let's look our best on Tuesday and act our best, too. We have been chosen to be apart of this learning experience. It is a privilege and an honor that we have been chosen.

Welcome to our New Computer Lab

Guys, they are finally here!!!!

Some things to remember:

• No eating or drinking around the computers
• No horseplay around the computers.
• Do not put your books or binders beside the computers.
• Keep area around the computers clean.
• LISTEN TO YOUR TEACHER'S INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!

Well I don't know about all you Bama fans, but I am very excited. The only thing that makes it not as exciting is that Colt McCoy got hurt. I wish he had been able to play. I felt bad for him and for the freshman quarterback that had to take over.

So what are you doing on this very cold day? Can you believe we were out of school Thursday and Friday? I was a little suprised. It is so cold that you really can't do anything outside and there wasn't that much snow anyway. I took a few pictures!

Thursday: Play Jeopardy to review for Test.
Friday: Take Computer Basics test.
