7 More School days until our Winter Break

So what are your plans for our time off? Do you have a wish list for Santa?


Here is my list:
1. To read a book.
2. To go to the movies...see a good adventure.
3. Eat with my family...something really good...just haven't decided what that is.
4. See family and friends that I don't normally get to see.
5. Go shopping and get some really good deals!!!!

Can you believed it is snowing today?  Too bad we didn't get to come to school late! Just not enought snow!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is next week.  I thought we might talk about family traditions.  Our family comes to our house for lunch on Thanksgiving day.  My husband likes to fry the turkey.  I don't like it...so we always have ham, too.  There is always dressing, green beans, corn, sweet potato casserole and rolls.  My parents, my husband's parents, my grandmother who is 86, my husband's grandmother who is 89, my sister and her children all come...some times some of my aunts and uncles come.

So how about you?

Fall Break 2011

We moved them to a bigger pen and while my husband was working on the pen...we had them in the back of his truck.  They were not happy about being there. They just wanted out!

Events for the Week

Hey 7th graders,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine was very busy! My best friend has a new baby and I got to see him this weekend. So fun!!!

This week the following things will be going on:

• Art Club Meeting after school today.  Just wanted you to know that even though you are not in Art right now...you can participate.  It is for anyone in the school.  So if you are really good at drawing, make plans to go to the meeting.
• Aug. 29: Volleyball game at Sparkman at 4:00 pm.
• Sept. 1:  Yes, I know it is my birthday...but something more important is happening for you. PROGRESS REPORTS go out during 1st period.  The progress report will have just the average for each of your classes.
• Sept. 1: Another home Football game!  The 7th grade game is at 5:00 pm and the 8th grade game will be at 7:00 pm.
• Sept. 1: Volleyball game here at 4:00 pm.
• Sept. 5: Labor Day Holiday!  NO SCHOOL!!!!

Thursday

We have a football game tonight at HGHS Football field.
The 7th grade game starts at 5:00 and the 8th grade game will start around 7:00.
I will be there!!!!

Way to go 7th graders!!!!!!

You have accomplished a lot this week.  You should be proud of yourselves.  I hope that you survive the day with all the notebook checks and quizzes.

Next Tuesday will be your first test in this class. So, be prepared.

The football teams play in a jamboree tonight and tomorrow at SMS.  Might be fun to go and watch!

The Last Week of School

7th Graders,
Can you believe this is our last week of school????????  Where has the time gone!!!!!!! I hope you enjoy your last 4 days of school.  Just think you are 4 days away from being an 8th grader!!!!  Now don't forget your summer reading!!!

The Storms

When we left school on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, I had no idea that I would not see you for at least a week.  I saw a few of you at Wal-Mart in Fayetteville on Friday.  You, like me, needed some survival items.

It is late Monday afternoon and I still do not have power, but we have a generator to power up the computer and keep the fridge going.  We had no damage to our home...so I am trying very hard to be thankful and not complain about the power still being out.

Spring Break Recap

So, what did you guys do during your Spring Break 2011? Me, nothing...which was very nice.

We have 26 days of school left!!!!

Lots to do during these 5 weeks and 1 one day!

We will take a test over Databases on Friday...so that we can start PowerPoint on Monday!
PowerPoint is lots of fun, but you do have to give a presentation to the class at least once.

7th Graders

A few reminders:

• Volleyball game tomorrow during 6th and 7th period.
• $2.00 to get in the game...your 5th period teacher will take up your money.
• Please be on your best behavior today.
• Don't forget to turn in your word search for extra credit.
• Play only Cool Math 4 Kids or the Brain Games.
• Do not ask to go to other websites.
• Do not ask to leave the room...that means NO phone, NO Restroom, No Library!

It's OVER!!!

Testing for this week is over!!!!


But remember 7th graders have the 7th grade Science Assessment...Next Wednesday, April 6th.


At least you have a week before the next test.

Spring has finally Sprung!!!

After all the snow and cold weather, spring is here!!!!
So excited to just not have to wear a jacket to school.

Snow AGAIN!

Snow Day Jan. 10th, 2010

Well students, I hope you have enjoyed your snow day.

I sure did!!!

We slept late and then headed outside.

We measured the snow at 7 1/2 inches.

This is the road at the end of our driveway.

This is my snowman...that I made all by myself!

We went to my parents' land in Tennesee and sled down the hill.

This is me going down the hill and trying to miss taking out my husband as he takes the picture!

I did miss him...but barely!

We had a blast!!!!  Climbing back up the hill was not so much fun.
