March 19

I'm so sorry I'm out today. My daughter has a terrible stomach virus. I'm not feeling too good myself. I need you to continue with your Menu Project.
A few things to remember:

  1. Page 1 in Microsoft Word is the inside.
  2. Page 2 is the Outside. Column 1 is the Back. Column 2 is the front.
  3. Do not continue a category from page 1 to page 2.
  4. Do not continue items on from column 1 to column 2 on page 2.
  5. Your menu should look realistic.
  6. To put a background in...type everything first, then go to clip art and find a background. Insert it. Click on clip art. Go to format menu. Click position. More layouts. Click through. Right click clip art. Click order.  Send behind text or to the back.
  7. Save often
  8. Be consistent with fonts, sizes, styles, and color.
  9. Watch out for the auto indents. Use the decrease indent to line up bullets.
  10. Make it look good!
Behave and don't ask to leave the room. Remember we have guests in the building. Treat each other with respect. Someone needs to pass out rough drafts and take them up and put them back in cabinet.
Thanks,
Mrs. H

Today

I had to leave school unexpectedly because my daughter got sick at school.
6th and 7th:
Get someone to pass out rough drafts.
Make sure you upload your Travel Newsletter to Moodle.
Then continue working on the rough draft of your menu.
If you finish rough draft,(remember to fill up the rough draft because you write bigger than you will type) then you may start typing.

To set up Word Document:
1. Click no spacing
2.  Click on Page layout
Change orientation to landscape
Margins to Narrow
Columns to two.
3. Save document as: Menu Project.
Get someone to take up rough drafts at the end of class.

Please don't get out of your seat or talk.
Be on your best behavior.
Thanks,
Mrs. H.
